Kiez Ghost (2018) – music for short film

History is always art's first context. Places hold within them their own history and they are inhabited by spirits, ghosts. The protagonist of Kiez Ghost is an invisible spirit who lives in a Berlin neighbourhood. The work was born out of a desire to research the nature of a protagonist and to find a balance between the image and audio. The unseeable character is subtly made visible, in the end it has a presence on the screen. At the same time the work is a documentation of the place where I lived in the summer of 2018. – Tatu Heinämäki
