Five Miniatures – chamber ensemble

Five Miniatures is a collection of short pieces for different constellations of instruments within an extended Pierrot ensemble. The length of each miniature is 1-2 minutes.

Each miniature explores a very limited set of musical motives and textures. Most of them experiment with establishing an idea and then dismantling it in different ways. There are subtle connections between the movements, but they could also be played individually.

Premiered by Norrbotten NEO in Stockholm in the spring of 2022.
